Privacy Policy
This policy explains how UniPlays (“UniPlays”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you browse games, play, connect a wallet, trade or publish on UniPlays. It also explains your choices and how to contact us about your privacy.
1. Who we are
UniPlays runs the website at uniplays.fun and the services behind it, and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at legal@uniplays.fun.
2. Information we handle
- Wallet and sign-in. Your public wallet address, the message you sign to sign in, and your sign-in session. You connect a wallet you already hold. UniPlays does not create or hold wallets, offers no email or social sign-in, and never receives your recovery phrase or private keys.
- Guest identity. A random guest identifier kept in a signed cookie. We issue it only after a Cloudflare Turnstile check.
- Play activity. The games you play and save, your player identifier for each game, saved progress, game storage and scores. While you play, the game player sends a short report about every 30 seconds with how long the game was in focus, how long it was open and how many inputs it received. The IP address, network range and browser details attached to a play session are stored only as keyed hashes, under a key we replace every 30 days, never in readable form. Live player counts per game are kept as totals.
- Transactions and permissions. Balances, trades, purchases, item ownership, drops, burns and fees, read from the blockchain or created when you use UniPlays, and the permissions you have given to games.
- Developer information. Game files, descriptions, images, links and settings; your developer wallet; API keys, which we store only as hashes; records of calls to our MCP server with a hashed key identifier, the tool used and timings; hosting accounts, payments and usage; and data your hosted game backend stores.
- Safety records. Reports we receive, moderation decisions and lists of blocked games or files.
- Messages. What you send us, and your email address if you email us.
- Network data. Our providers process your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the service.
3. How we use information
We use information to sign you in, restore progress, keep your library, show scores and activity, process purchases and publishing, run hosted backends, bill hosting and answer requests. The main game list ranks games using signed-in players’ focused playtime and return visits. To limit farming, ranking also checks whether a player’s wallet has made an earlier trade or fee withdrawal, has held a game token across two days or has passed a bot check, and it caps play from one network using the hashed network data. It never uses how much a wallet trades or holds. We use security information to stop automated abuse, detect misuse and keep UniPlays working.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you ask for, our legitimate interest in running and protecting UniPlays, meeting legal duties, or your consent where it is needed. You may withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect what we did before. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
4. Cookies and browser storage
UniPlays sets these cookies. None is used for advertising or analytics.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| uniplays_session | Keeps you signed in with your wallet. Cleared when you sign out. | 30 days |
| uniplays_guest | Recognises you as a returning guest. Cleared when you sign out. | 30 days |
| uniplays_siwe | Checks that a sign-in request came from you. | 10 minutes |
| uniplays-theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | 1 year |
Browser storage on your device also remembers the wallet you connected, so it can reconnect next time; your library and recently played games; receipts from fair drops, kept for up to 90 days so you can check them; your best score in the Snake game preview; and unfinished steps, such as a purchase, trade, burn, publication, hosting payment or reward claim, so they can be recovered. A developer key is kept only for the current browser tab session. Your wallet, WalletConnect when you use it, and Cloudflare Turnstile may use their own cookies or storage.
You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser. That can sign you out, interrupt unfinished steps or make guest progress unreachable. Clearing your browser does not delete information we hold or anything recorded on a blockchain.
5. Games and public activity
UniPlays gives each game a player identifier made for that game alone. When a game asks for your wallet address, UniPlays shares it only after you give permission. Games can also receive what you give them directly and may use services run by their developers. Read a game’s own privacy notice before you share personal details with it.
Leaderboards, published game details and developer wallet addresses may be public. So are drop records, any recorded difference between a drop and the final chain, and the verification page of each chance round. Blockchain transactions are public and may stay available forever. A wallet address is not anonymous: others may link it to you using other information. UniPlays cannot erase or change records on a blockchain.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, where privacy laws may differ. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards that law recognises for such transfers.
8. Retention and security
Cookies last for the times shown in section 4. We keep other information only as long as we need it: to keep your progress and history, to run the service, to settle requests or disputes, to prevent abuse and to meet legal duties. Moderation records and the files of removed games may be kept for legal and safety reasons. Blockchain records are permanent.
We use access controls and sign-in checks to protect information. No online service is perfectly secure. Never send us a recovery phrase, private key or password, including when you ask for help.
9. Children
UniPlays is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. UniPlays does not ask for your age. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email legal@uniplays.fun and we will delete it.
10. Your choices and rights
You can choose whether to connect a wallet, share information with a game or save games to your library. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information; to restrict or object to some uses; to withdraw consent; and to complain to your data protection authority.
Making a request
Email legal@uniplays.fun. Describe your request and include your public wallet address or other details that help us find the records. We may need to confirm that the request is yours. Someone you authorise may ask for you, and we may ask for proof of that authority. Some records must be kept for legal or security reasons, and no request can remove blockchain history. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as UniPlays changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Where the law requires, we will tell you about important changes in advance.
For privacy questions and requests, email legal@uniplays.fun. For help using UniPlays, email support@uniplays.fun. The Terms of Use explain the rest of our agreement with you.
