Content policy
This policy sets out what is not allowed on UniPlays, how to report it and what we do about it. It is part of the Terms of Use and the Developer agreement.
1. How moderation works
Publishing needs no approval. We act after the fact. We can hide a page, remove a game from lists and search, block its files on our content network within about two minutes, cut its access to our services, and set its on-chain status to Suspended or Delisted. Section 7 of the Terms of Use explains what an on-chain status stops and what continues.
Nobody can undo what is already on chain. A token keeps its name and symbol, and its transactions stay public. We will never tell you that we can recover funds, because we cannot.
2. What is not allowed
- Malware, phishing, or a game that imitates the UniPlays interface or asks for recovery phrases, private keys or passwords.
- Sexual content involving minors. We remove it and report it to the authorities where the law requires or allows.
- Content that is illegal where it is served.
- Pretending to be another game, developer, token, person or brand to take their players or buyers.
- Claiming or suggesting that a token gives its holders revenue, profit or a share of any fee. Holder rewards that a game’s contract pays to NFT holders may be described only as the contract and the game’s Rewards page state them.
- Content beyond the rating the game declares.
- Hate, harassment, threats, violent extremism, sexual images shared without consent, or content that encourages self-harm.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights.
- Schemes to manipulate token prices, rankings, rewards or drops.
- Attempts to escape the game sandbox or attack players, UniPlays or other games.
3. Content ratings
Every game declares a rating in its manifest: everyone, teen or mature. The default is everyone. A game whose content goes beyond its declared rating breaks this policy. The rating is chosen by the developer, and UniPlays does not check the age of players.
4. What is not a violation
- A name or ticker similar to an existing one. When two live games share a ticker, the token page says so and lists the others, and the token contract address is the identity. Refusing similar names would only create a market in squatted names.
- A game being bad, unfinished or unpopular.
- A token losing its value, or going to zero.
5. Games of chance
Games of chance are allowed under the rules in the Developer agreement. Their odds and fees must be published, and players must acknowledge the disclosure before their first entry. Odds that differ from what a round really uses break this policy.
6. How to report
Report content by email to legal@uniplays.fun. Please include:
- the link to the page, or the token or contract address;
- what is wrong and why;
- for illegal content, the country and the law under which it is illegal, if you can;
- your name and email address; and
- a statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith.
To report a copyright problem, follow the steps on the Copyright page.
7. What happens after a report
We review each report and decide whether to act. When we restrict a game, we tell the developer our reasons where we can, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it. We tell the person who reported what we decided.
8. If you disagree with a decision
Email legal@uniplays.fun within six months of the decision. Name the page or game, the decision and why you think it is wrong. A person will look at it again and tell you the result. If we got it wrong, we will reverse what we can.
9. Repeat violations
If a developer or user breaks this policy again and again, we may remove all of their games and refuse them further service.
10. Authorities and records
We respond to valid legal requests. Authorities can reach us at legal@uniplays.fun. We may keep moderation records, and the files of removed games, where we need them for legal or safety reasons.
